OMG, we complain about US Billboard but at least, even if we don't agree, we know how it works... With some european countries I can't even put 2 + 2 together.

France and Sweden charts are the absolute pits....I'm convinced France doesn't know what the **** they are doing with their charts

The chart where S&S was finally #1, was like 3 days late...they were trying their hardest to find more sales for Gangnam Style and Skyfall

I'm happy that "S&S" down to #2 and didn't surpass "Baby one more time" in netherlands otherwise would be lame

Though there practically aren't any CD stores around, I guess it still hows how irrelevant digital sales are today, because this week's number #1 is a Dutch artist who basically didn't got any big digital support (not on iTunes at least), yet the physical sales of his song still made him #1 (That would make most sense to me, anyway), he also promoted his song on TV and radios last week, which probably helped him too. Scream & Shout is still #1 on iTunes, so we will always have next week.

Edit: Seems like 'Gerard Joling' is #1 on the Download Top 50 too, which is weird considering he wasn't even in the Top 10 on iTunes last week, which I still think people download songs the most. Pretty weird, or someone cheated the system or there is a download service around in Holland that I'm not aware of.

I don't see "Thrift Shop" blowing up internationally. Its worldwide chart run reminds me of "We Are Young" thus far. Massive in the States and just there elsewhere. Five weeks at #1 is very much within reach at the moment.

"Scream & Shout" surpassed “Womanizer” this week and it became her fifth longest-running worldwide #1.
