I find it very humorous that Katy had all these #1's and top fives but her album couldn't sell more. Considering the fact that it was highly promoted for three years and has yet to sell more than 3 million copies. Not to mention it's worldwide sales are nothing to scoff at.

Beyonce's I Am, did not have as much successful singles yet it outsold Katy's and was not as hugely promoted. And considering the fact that Katy can't even get a $100 million grossing tour makes me doubt her status as an artist in the level of Beyonce.

Are you asking since when did the music industry's most respected award equal success? Well the answer is 1959, the year that they started.

I understand that success isn't necessarily measured by the amount of awards a committee deems you are deserving of, but please don't denounce the fact that winning a record amount of awards for an album is a good indicator of the success of the album as far as how it is regarded for it's artistry. #1 hits aren't everything, unless it is everything you have to brag about.

Well, the only time they released albums in the same year was 2008, and One of the Boys certainly was not bigger than IASF.

And did you just try and claim that her relevance and success in the US is microscopic? Why are you being like this? What problem do you have with her that you can't even admit something that is rather objective, that she has a successful and relevant career regardless of who it is more or less successful than.
