Daft Punk have signed a new record deal with Columbia, it’s been confirmed.
According to various sources, the prolific duo plan to follow up their 2005 album ‘Human After All’ – released via their previous label, Virgin Records – at some point this Spring, but no actual dates have been confirmed.
The ‘Derezzed’ hitmakers have apparently been working with the likes of Nile Rodgers and Giorgio Moroder on the album, which seems like a good idea doesn’t it.
I posted about this earlier this year in Base. There's really no new news on this yet, except that people are anticipating a release.
As much as I would love this to be true, I don't know if I can take new music from The Knife and Daft Punk so soon into the new year. My heart isn't ready.
