Well i'm arabian, so my family would always diss me for liking pop music or american music in general
and when i listen to an arabian song they go and act excited and ****, as if a miracle happened or something lol.
as long as i play my metal music using my earphone, they keeping it cute. except that one time when i blared Look At Me Now in the living room, my mom had to smack the back of my head with her spatula because she said rap music made her felt in a hurry
I like all kinds of music but grew up listening to old school stuff like Stevie Wonder,Sade,Barry White etc.
As i got older i wanted to explore more genres and artists and my mom likes how i have grown in music interests.
I even converted her to try out other types of music and she likes Maroon 5,Blink 182,Radiohead,Aerosmith and Oasis. She likes the pop girls too Madonna,Gaga,Janet and Britney.
Anyway, my dad's the reason I listen to various types of music. His collection is huge and I liked rummaging through it when I liver with him. That was years ago, tho.
They are worried I'm such a huge fan of someone at my age. But other than that they think I have good taste, especially my mom! She loves Tiziano and Utada.
they tend to trust my judgement when it comes to good english-language music whatever the genre. when it comes to kpop or any foreign language stuff they just don't get it though
