I want to defend Cissy, but this whole "tell-all" is making her look like the antagonist here. The only thing I got from this is that Whitney started living a reckless life, most likely because her mom wasn't accepting her other life choices.

There's nothing wrong with what she answered Oprah's question "If Whitney was gay would you have liked it." She's an old school church woman and they are STERN in their old school beliefs I don't think it makes her a homophobe though.

Whitney stopped her friendship with Robin once she married Bobby. She chose her marriage over her friendship and that is why they became distant friends overtime.

How is she a homophobe? Most parents don't wish for gay kids, whether u admit it to yourselves or not. She said she wouldn't approved of it that doesn't mean she hates gay people.
