The fact that the bouncers wouldn't allow people leave just because of the possibility of unpaid checks is sickening.

Wow this is crazy, RIP to all the people who died there.

IKR? I don't mean to sound insensitive, but this wouldn't have been much of a disaster if the club owner didn't have so many people in the club. It would've made it ten times easier to leave and maybe even allowed his security to douse the fire. I'm saddened he passed along with the others, R.I.P. but I hope this warrants a lesson in safety there.

That's a lot of people. I wonder is anyone from ATRL knew someone that was in that club.

Why is the attention of American citizens so important to other countries?

This has nothing to do with ethnocentrism. The Sandy Hook shootings made major headlines because it was little children that were massacred in their own classrooms. Anything involving little kids pulls on heartstrings.

The incident was just as tragic, but a story about people dying in a nightclub is not going to have the same effect.
