Is "The Hunger Games" the most overrated film of 2012?
I just saw "The Hunger Games" my grandmother stans for the book series and the movie. But I just saw it this weekend for the first time and Idky people like it. It's overrated as hell imo
No. I watched it for the first time a week ago, and holy **** it was so ****ing good. I thought it was gonna be an overrated mess but i was totally surprised.
The book was amazing. I haven't seen the film yet. I got it went it came out on blu ray. I wanted to read the book first and I just finished it. Will probably watch the film this week.
The movie was a good adaptation, Jennifer Lawrence is brilliant, and that's all there is to it. I don't feel it was overrated, it was just promoted well. If it's not for you it's not for you, but no one should feel the need to ruin others' enjoyment. Why not focus on finding things you DO enjoy rather than creating threads about things you DON'T?
it's AMAZING. i was a fan of the books and i really DIDN'T want them to do a movie in fear they would mess it up. But they did amazing. They didn't overplay the love triangle thing and the whole universe created in the movie is completely original.

The avengers is by far the most overrated movie this year. It was a CAMPY ASS movie and it still managed to get higher reviews on rotten tomatoes than The Dark Knight Rises (Which was one of the best movies of the year imo) which makes absolutely no sense. I have come to learn to never listen to the opinions of professional movie critics anyways.
The strength of the premise exceeded the quality of the film itself imo. It was still good but there were a lot of areas I felt could have been a lot better.
