Rob Cavallo did work for The Goo Goo Dolls, Green Day, and My Chemical Romance, while Matt Squire has worked with Sum 41, Simple Plan, 3OH!3, and Ke$ha.

This pretty much confirms Avril isn't going for a pop album just to be commercially successful. She's around the right people, and she's going to the album SHE wants to do

I'm actually really excited. Rock Avril is the Avril I love the most. However, I do hope there's SOME pop.
I think there definitely will be crossover rock-pop. She worked with The Runners, didn't she?
Some of that will probably make the album, probably even make a single or two I think. The Runners are good.

I'd love to see the album have major success like Let Go, but I prefer the quality of the album versus sales.

With this giant push away from electronic pop we are seeing right now, this could totally work. If the body of work is quality, I have full faith in this next era.
