I don't and to be honest I'm quite jealous of whose who do. My mum and I just don't get along

I'm so different to my parents like it's just so awkward having a conversation with them. They enjoy doing the stuff I find incredibly boring (going on long car drives, having family picnics, going to the zoo...) and they always drag me along with them so I get impatient with them. I'll just leave it at they like wearing crocs in public.

It's an on/off thing. One day we're hugging and watching movies or going to some mall together and having ice cream and everything but some days they act like I murdered someone and reply with one word or just ignore what I say and so on.

No we are complete opposites so it's hell when we have disagreements.

My father, yes. My mother, no. Me and my mom just do not have similar/corresponding personalities. We don't like the same things or act the same way, so when we do spend time together it's like when you're alone with a stranger you don't have anything in common with and it's just awkward as frick and you try to make conversation but it goes nowhere. The only reason me and my mom have a 'relationship' is because we're mother and daughter. If it weren't for that, we'd have nothing keeping us together. But yeah, me and my dad are very similar and I'm kind of like a girl version of him. Daddy's girl all the way.

Yeah, my relationship with both my parents is really great. The older I got the better it got.

With my mom yes. Have seen my dad only once since he left my mom 11 years ago. I don't hate him or anything, just indifferent to his existence.

No. They're really nice, though.

Yes. We're not super-close and buddy buddy but we rarely get into arguments anymore and support each other.

Yes. They're really understanding and genuinely nice people. I feel like if someone my age had the exact personality of my mom, we'd be friends because she's just a very fun person

Not really.

I get along very well with my mother. We fight occasionally, but it usually resolves. We're pretty good friends. My dad, on the other hand... well, we get along in lighthearted conversation, but not beyond that. I think he took a lot of his frustrations out on his family. Living with him was awful. Now that we don't live together, I can get along with him to some extent, but we rarely see eachother so that's not saying too much. We're quite similar in some ways, but I feel he holds a lot of resentment towards me for some reason as he acts competitive and overly-critical towards me. As such, I don't know if we simply have a personality clash or if he just simply isn't a nice person. I think it's a mix of both.

Yeah, we used to have a normal-good relationship, even though I never talked to her about my love life, once I came out last year it became super special, I tell my mom almost everything, she invites my boyfriend to dinners, and gives me some advices about love and stuff.
