Totally agree. Most of those people don't even care about Adele, they just want to create a hit song. We all know how hypocrite the music industry is: if you're successful, everyone want to work with you. If you're a flop, no one care

I could see it happening. Hasn't Adele said she really likes pop music, she just doesn't think she could pull it off? That's a matter of confidence then, not taste. It's like she's some Erkyah Badu type person against dance/pop music

Reminds me of how the second Florence and The Machine album was supposed to be produced by the likes of RedOne/Dr Luke type producers, but then she backed out at the last second because although she wanted to try that sound, she was unsure of how people would react to it. And then finally with her Calvin Harris collaborations she was able to fulfill that side of her.

This is different. Usher doesn't have anything to offer Adele. He is just talking out of his ass and ego.

Zedd may want to branch out with more artists, but he is an incredible songwriter and producer. He has a unique, defined style that doesn't pander just to radio. He's the type of artist who is in it for quality.
