Precisely. If they are personally investing in ARTPOP through collaboration then it's success will be in their best interests too.
If it's truly innovative, they'll ensure it gets great press to show off. I would expect a major launch event for the APP. Then there will be banners, which she'll probably dominate for a while.
A smart next move (assuming she hasn't already) would be to get Billboard, MTV and VEVO on board so they're more inclined to push her harder too. Give them exclusives etc.
