Used in logos for Obama's campaigns, HGTV (US),JCPenney,and branding for Yahoo.

D-Helvetica


Used in logos for Target,McDonald's,Toyota,Jeep,American Apparel,and used on iPod interfaces

E-Futura


Used in logos for Big Lots,Volkswagen,Louis Vuitton,and Costco
Also used on signage at Kmart stores

Gotham for sure.

Century Gothic = Lessor version of Futura

More like a bootleg version of Avant Garde.

The first 4 look the same to me.

So I guess Futura is the best.

They're all overused. I'm guilty of it too.

In America:
Myriad - Used like crazy in magazine ad design and print design. Open up a magazine and you can find it anywhere.
It's not even an exceptional font (I prefer Segoe and Frutiger) but Apple uses it.

Frutiger - Overused in the transportation industry so much. It's everywhere at the airports, on the freeways, in museums.

Gotham - Slowly becoming the most overused out of all these fonts (second to Helvetica)
It is used in print, ad, web, CD covers, logos, movies... the list goes on.

Helvetica - Used without second thought everywhere on everything. It's just a lazy choice for designers.

Futura - The only font on this list that I don't think is overused. It's used a lot, but appropriately. It's so timeless, regardless of it's name.
I really like slab serifs.

Helevetica, for sure.

They're not the same.Myriad and Frutiger are similar but all the other fonts have different roots.
