There's this idea in the gay community that once you reach a certain age during life a typical gay man becomes least likely to be romantically involved with another individual in comparison to younger people. By the time you reach the age of 45 you're SOL, according to the "gay death".
Does this concept apply? Or is it simply a myth that was built on the sole foundation to scare older gay men?
Essentially you mean a sort of age in which you are no longer considered desirable by I guess the "gay community"? I've heard of it, but I've never seen it in practice. Most of my friends here in NY 22-25 all have dated or hooked up with guys as old as their mid-40's. It's all relative, but if it does exist in any culturally accepted form it's not the age of 30.
