Wtf? If you cant appreciate r&b, dont talk sh*t about it. There was plenty of GREAT r&b records released by underground and even more known artists.
Miguel, Brandy, Alicia Keys, Rochelle Jordan, Solange, Kalenna, Elle Varner, Keyshia Cole, The Weeknd... 2013 was the year of the reinvention of r&b.
Again, if you dont care about it, you cant just open up your mouth to judge it and criticize it.

.............? It's hilarious how people can come up with crap out of thin air. I never said or implied that my statement about R&B was R&B in total. It was mad obvious that I was talking about it's present-day state, not the genre as a whole from beginning to end.
1. I don't pay attention to "underground" music, regardless of genre.
2. You can try as much as you want, but those artists alone don't make R&B a pleasure to people. Look at what's dominating the R&B AI charts - you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. The majority of it is pure trash.
I actually do care about it, and it's a shame that diseases such as Lil Wayne and Drake have infected R&B to the point of no return. The fact that "Who Booty" is even in the top 10 on R&B charts tells you how bad this contagious travesty is.
I'm into R&B; it may not be my favorite genre, but I have a good amount of those bops in my library.
