yes, i think it's disgraceful that it is embraced in the media. there was a gay pride parade in my local town and when it came on the news i had to cover my little brothers eyes, it's vile
Gay culture is sexualized because society's discrimination marginalized homosexuals by their sexuality, so in turn they ended up hyper sexualizing themselves to fit into that portrayal. A lot of gay men act out sexuality because their entire lives people have seen and referred to them as a "sexuality" and not as a ful rounded human being.
You also have media's depiction of gay men as hypersexual beings teaching younger gay man "how to act" in order to make them feel like they belong. Though this is getting better with shows like Glee and Modern Family.
It's a SEXuality. Doesn't that kind of justify it?

Well, the thing that connects all gays is that they're gay. It doesn't apply as much with straight culture because it's a norm. But what are football fans going to talk about? Football. Music fans? Music.
Straight "culture" is sexualized. HUMAN culture is sexualized, it's not just gays. I don't see how there can be gay culture. There's too many gays in the world. You can generalize them into one culture, same with straights.
The Romans had orgies, the Indians have the Kamasutra, and Genghis Khan has 16 million descendants! It's not just gays. Humans are sexualized in general.
