Rated R was a great album because it dealt frankly with the emotional aftermath of the incident with Chris Brown. Unapologetic bothers me because it rehashes it in the most glib, exploitative manner possible.
You don't have to agree, but don't think you'll ever change my mind about it.

I'm not trying to change your mind, what I'm saying is about your 'Do Ya Thang' remark. What you don't realize is that pop stars project perfect and always winning personas in their music while in real life they are really f****d up.
At least Rihanna is honest about her feelings, in
Rated R she was dealing with all the crap cryptically, in
Talk That Talk she admitted she loved him so much but he was wrong for her and in
Unapologetic she forgives the guy and admits she still loves him, twisted for some, but that's how life works, doesn't mold to morale standards.
And I applaud her honesty and that she transmits it in her music unlike others whose life doesn't have anything to do with their songs.
