Experts agree: Lindsay Lohan's Career is Over.
from Entertainment Weekly:
I Know Who Killed Your Career
In the wake of Lindsay Lohan's personal scandals and her latest box office flop, EW asked studio executives to weigh in about the future of her career
By Sean Smith
For one brilliant, flickering moment, she was poised to become a star. By the age of 17, Lindsay Lohan had played lead roles in four major films, two of them significant hits. In 2004, her first album had gone platinum. Mean Girls had opened at $24 million and had transported her from cute kid to budding sex symbol and style icon. Hollywood wanted to mold her into the next Julia Roberts. By last week, at the age of 21, she had blown it all away. ''She had the world at her feet,'' says the head of a major studio. ''And right now, she'd have to pay a studio to get herself into a movie.''

You Lindsay fans can fight for the next five pages but the guy is right. Lindsay ****ed up big time. And there's no repairing her career now.

That is a REAL good summation of her career. She really was poised to be the next big thing after her album went platinum and she had all that success with "Mean Girls." Her time to shine was '05 and '06 and look wut she's gone and done. - _ -

yeah, much like I said before, I TOTALLY agree with EVERYTHING the article said, but she's got sooo much star power and talent that she is gonna rebound eventually. It's weird, for example, Christina Aguilera had a "Dirrty" phase, but she never was as disgusting as Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, and Lindsay Lohan have been. She'll be back I'm sure, but who knows when?

it´s not the lackluster movies she does, it´s her life, addictions, DUI´s with possible prison...that, combined with her not so high quality work with lackluster performance, makes it very possible her career could be over.....christina´s only thing besides being hated by mothers and virgin-femnists all over the world, because of the video to "Dirrty", was that she partied pretty hard, but only with vodka, never coke or stuff like that....

I'm sure if she gets her act together she can definately bring her career back. As of now, of course it's over.

Well, drug addiction is a hard thing to go through, and I cant imagine hw dificult and horrible it would be witht he media reporting on EVERY little thing. I mean, iyes, she has obviosly mades LOTS of mistakes, but if you think about it, a lot fo people make the SAME mistakes and dont nearly the same amount of flack for it. For her sake, I hope she can get herself together, find a decent movie with a decent acting role and hopefully get her life back on track.

sorry LiLO, but the interview in the next issue of ELLE might be the funniest i´ve read in a long time.
This interview was conducted before her latest DUI stunt. Everything she says is completely hypocritical and hilarious
Quote:
Lindsay on…..
On her reputation for drunk driving:
“They’re looking for me, to like trip, so they can be like, ‘Oh Lindsay’s wasted and driving drunk.’ And that’s not it. I wouldn’t violate … I’m much more responsible than that.”
On attending rehab at Wonderland before her 21st birthday:
“I was growing up and going out a lot, and I needed to have a balance. I was glad I went, because I needed to get away from everyone and I didn’t know how to do that. And I learned a lot there. A bunch of my friends – I was with them last night – they’re in AA for, like, years.”
On her sometimes-boyfriend Calum Best:
“I like him. He’s me in male form. We’re very similar. Stubborn, rebellious, very smart, coy, a little bit narcissistic – I think all actors have a little bit of that, and so they should. We’ll be kidding around, like the other day when we were in the Bahamas … I was walking by some mirror. And he caught me looking in the mirror and he goes, ‘I caught that!’ I was like, ‘Damn, I look good!’
On her future projects:
“There’s this Walter Salles film I really want to do. It’s called On the Road. It has the vibe of that movie The Dreamers […] I want to work with Walter Salles so bad. I had to audition for him. It was the first audition I’ve had since Freaky Friday.”
On the media firestorm surrounding her:
“I feel like the *******, the idiot, because I feel like I’m distracting from the other things that are important, like global warming and that kind of stuff. I genuinely mean that. And I don’t know what to do.”
On avoiding fame:
“I hate it, like, when these people say, ‘Well, why do you go to the Ivy if you don’t want …’ Seriously, I like their food! I can’t go to a restaurant? I know I’m going to get pictures taken. I’m fine with it. And I’m going to go have their food. People give you **** for it: ‘Don’t go on Robertson!’ What, I can’t drive down the street?”
On being photographed without underwear:
“It was once, and it was when I was in Venice. And I was rushing through the room, threw the Prada dress on. And that’s what happened. And I didn’t even see the picture. I don’t look at that **** – that’s gross. If I wear a dress I have underwear on.”
On sleep troubles:
“I have really bad insomnia. My whole life. I get nervous at night going to bed, and being awake alone really freaks me out.”
On her career aspirations:
“I just want to be nominated for an award for all the work I’ve done. It’s so funny – people forget that I played two characters in Parent Trap when I was twelve years old.”
