It depends on how it makes them act. If they're annoying or rude I wouldn't. If they're normal then why not.

I'm not sure. I'm really shy myself (not aspergers though) so I have difficulty connecting to people who aren't socially awkward, I can only imagine how difficult it would be for me to connect with another socially awkward person. I think I need a louder, more confident person to balance my shyness out

Really depends on the individual. Some do have difficulty forming interpersonal relationships, and I myself am not the most sociable person, so I don't think I could date someone who's severely impacted by AS. But from what I've seen, most are pretty normal.

mmm. My best friend has it and she is a HANDFUL. But I would not say no. Sometimes helping a person is a lot of love, and also makes them better. Seriously, If I hadn't helped her to see parts of her behaviour were odd or wrong in public she'd never change.

People who have bad experiences with AS people, please realize its just the person you're dealing with; I have it and I'm not like some of the examples given. I try really hard to be nice, soft spoken, etc. In my situation, it mostly comes off just as being shy. Some people say I'm a little egotistical, but that's really not intentional and I try hard to not act in that way.

Anyway, I would never decide to not date someone solely because they have Asperger's.

I don't know anyone with Asperger's unfortunately, so I'm not sure. I've dated a lot of girls so maybe one of my ex's had it. That said, sure!

Well, I haven't met someone with Asperger, but I've read about it and I don't see why I wouldn't. I'm a extremely outgoing person, so I like to date shy people cause If they are also outgoing, we crash. I think we all have flaws and they do not neccessary have a "tag".

Yeah, if I like the person. The fact that he has Aspergers wouldn't be a factor in deciding if I like him or not.

I can't say no, because I don't want to generalize based off one person I may or may not know with it. It just wouldn't be fair to anyone else diagnosed with it, seeing as the severity fluctuates from person-to-person.

That said, if most people with Aspergers have difficulty with showing empathy, compassion, or affection, that may be hard for me. I'm pretty sensitive & when I'm in a relationship, I thrive off of connection in all forms, but mainly affection & the empathetic aspects... so that would definitely be a challenge if they had a hard time showing love.
