Do you think 2012 was a good year for music in general besides pop music? Personally I liked the releases in 2012

all very good albums imo! Especially Wynter Gordon's Doleo EP

Not really IMO. Like even all my faves released last year but I still found it bland. 2013 looks to be amazing though.

Not for pop music, but overall it was a great year.

It's actually the other way around. Every other genre besides pop had good releases.

Pop was kind of stale but there were some good moments (Halcyon, Trespassing, The Origin of Love, Electra Heart, The Truth About Love).

2012's pop music is going to look embarrassing compared to 2013's pop, though.

I don't know about for pop music, but it was for everyone else.

My fave albums of that year

2012 was mostly about horrible and pathetic songs like Call Me Maybe and Gangnam Style. The good moments for me were at the beginning of the year with MDNA (many will disagree), and the amazing end of the year with artists we were waiting for since 2010: Taylor Swift, Christina Aguilera, Rihanna () and Ke$ha.

Pop albums may have disappointed, but other genre albums did not.

I haven't been amazed by the music scene since maybe Spring of 2011, but coming up now is looking much more promising
