But I agree, Microsoft needs to sort their pricing out. But I think the expensive price is just their marketing strategy, like what they did with the XBox. They'd rather start with high prices and slash it off in the next years or so, rather than sell at a ridiculously low price and lose profits. Or if they set at low prices and they jacked the prices up because they're not making money off it, people will feel ripped off. It's good strategy.
