Yeah but when pop artists do that they typically have long eras. Gaga has rihanna sized eras(6-10 months) but goes at a Beyonce like pace in terms of album output. Beyonce has long eras with tons of singles even 4 which flopped had 6 singles.
Edit: thinking about it her release schedule is mostly similar to Britneys. Although I hope ARTPOP is a long era with lots of singles like GGGB, Bad, IASF, TD, etc.

She's only done that ONE time.
Also, the reason she had a short era is cause her management (and probably her as well) realised that she was just too overexposed, and she needed to go away from the industry for a bit and make people MISS her, and WANT her back. She was getting too much like Rihanna is getting now....as in, the GP just wanted her off the radio/tv.
