This is one of the most disastrous events that has occurred in my lifetime. I had a flashback of 9/11 and shuttered. How depressing.

RIP everyone that died there but yeah i go over 3 bridges every day to go to work and this type of things can happen to anyone @ anytime it's so sad....and everytime i go over a bridge it makes me think what if it's this time it's so sad

Yeah I saw this the night it happened, my mom just came home and was watching Inside Edition while I was studying schoolwork... it's such a horrible thing!! They really should monitor the maintenance of bridges more carefully, especially in a developed country like the United States.

My Uncle Is A Carpanter And He Lives In Minneapolis And He Said When He Helped Inspect The Bridge There Was Nothing Wrong With It.

Yet again, this is the headline of today's paper. I have a feeling this will be talked about for the next upcoming weeks. .

It's quite sad. I hope they can find out what went wrong and fix it next time for the future. We don't need another one of these.

The greatest thing about this tragedy (aftermath wise), is the fact that the US congress has received a needed wake up call to take care of their people. They're definitely (or should be) going to be realigning their priorities to help fix infrastructures within the US. (Which hopefully will offset some action within other domestic initiatives/issues that need attention.)
