What I think is that Ke$ha can have a lot of appeal to kids, she writes catchy music, it's natural! But she doesn't write it for them. I listened to 'Warrior', that's not for kids. Also, she talks about sex and drugs in her songs, that's not aimed at kids. Like when the 'Die Young' video was released, you could see how that image broke, it had a lot of "satanic" and sexual stuff, again, not aimed at kids, and all the kids were "OMG! Ke$ha sold her soul to Satan", I'm like WTF kids, this wasn't for you in the first place to get it.
On the other hand with Katy Perry is quite obvious and transparent she (or Capitol) writes and makes videos for kids, only in 'Teenage Dream', though, 'cause 'One Of The Boys' was more Ke$ha-like, appealing but not directed to kids.
