I'm so over these lame ass rainy winters. The last big snow storm NYC got was in 2010, and then we got the 2 Hurricanes and now we never get snow.
**** you Irene and **** you Sandy.

To this day, I have never understood why one actually wants major dumpings of snow. We've had 8 major snowstorms so far this year, all accompanied with heavy winds, heavy snow and very cold temperatures.
It's a GIANT inconvience. It's takes hours to go somewhere it normally takes 10-15 minutes.
After having to walk home in a blizzard a week ago (as my parents car wouldn't start, cabs had hour long waiting lists, and transit wasn't running), I no longer have ANY tolerance for winter. NONE. Anyone that actually enjoys being outside when's its -20 with the wind chill, snowing like mad, where you can't see a damn thing is probably downright insane.
And after the storm is over, you now have sidewalks with three feet of snow, and sloppy streets. There is NOTHING good, or fun about it.
I would RATHER it rained. That means I can still walk with being knee deep in snow. Rain usually doesn't come with ICE (key word being usually, as it does sometimes but at least you can SEE IT, and is not hidden beneath snow.)
Just 2 more months, and winter is FINALLY over.
