Are John Mayer and Katy Perry getting engaged? According to insiders, the notorious Hollywood womaniser is ready to settle down with his girlfriend of six months with Mayer reportedly shopping for rings before Christmas.
"John is serious about Katy, that's for certain. He has never imagined settling down with someone, but he's infatuated with her,” the reported insider revealed.
“They have the same sense of humour, they love the same music and they love to travel together. And, of course, she's beautiful. Although John's got a reputation as a ladies' man all of their friends completely approve because he's so dedicated,"
They added: "He was looking at rings before Christmas and was making enquiries about getting one specially made."
The only obstacle to the romance was reportedly the fact that John lives in New York and Katy is mainly based in Los Angeles. But a commitment to permanently move to the West Coast has reportedly convinced the 'Part Of Me' star he's serious.
The source said: "He loves New York, but Katy wants to be based on LA full time, though she does like the way they can be quite under the radar in New York. John makes her so happy - she can't believe they are so in tune and definitely has no concerns about his commitment.”
While there's been no confirmation about a proposal and no ring, the couple were spotted looking loved up over the weekend as they avoided the Golden Globe award parties in favour of a quiet dinner together, the New York Post reported.
