One person who has been very vocal about The Civil Wars is Adele who invited them to support her during her UK tour after they played with her first in the US.
John Paul says: “The initial introduction was a standard business thing but once we met, we just fell in love and touring with her was the easiest thing in the world.
“We all became best friends and I like to think we’ll be friends for a long time.
“We bonded pretty quickly. We stayed in touch when she went back home and she asked us to do the dates in the UK.
“We stayed in touch and any time we’re in town we try to see her.
“We got to spend a little bit of time with her around the time of the Grammy’s and it’s cool to see she’s now in a place where she can do whatever she wants.
“No one deserves the success more. We cheer for her from the top of every highest mountain.”
Joy agrees: “She could have any excuse considering the amount of success she’s seen.
“She could justifiably have a very large ego. But one of the many things that is refreshing about her is that she’s unendingly generous and she doesn’t have any ego.
“She’s just Adele.
“And on tour I learned that you don’t ever try to out drink a Brit."
