"The Originals" will center on actor Joseph Morgan's character Klaus Mikaelson as he returns to New Orleans to reunite with his protégé.

Phoebe Tonkin, who plays werewolf Hayley in the supernatural drama, which premiered in 2009, is also set to co-star.

The new show's pilot will air on the CW network on April 25. If it receives a full-series order, "The Vampire Diaries" Executive Producer Julie Plec will work on both shows, according to Entertainment Weekly.

im here for this since im tired of the main show shifting focus on the originals and I do actually like them so this way i could see them

Phoebe Tonkin is a horrible actress, what will she even be doing in an originals spinoff? I wanted an Originals spin off that shows their HISTORY not set in the present day.
