One Letter, Massive Consequences
Is Lady Gaga "The Ultimate Mean Girl?"

Lady Gaga has been a celebrity long enough to know that her words and actions have the potential to influence others, specifically her fans. By this point in her career, she has most likely witnessed the abhorrent behaviour from her little monsters on Twitter or on her website or on some other online medium. She's aware of her fans and what they say. So, again, why would Lady Gaga choose to single out Kelly Osbourne? Was it essentially a form of bullying? What did Gaga expect would happen after she posted that open letter to Osbourne? That her little monsters would
not torment the person she's criticizing? She had to expect,
on some level, that her little monsters were going to berate Kelly Osbourne online after the open letter was posted on her website. As Sharon Osbourne stated, if Lady Gaga truly wanted to have a dignified conversation with Kelly Osbourne on the matter, to better understand each other's point of view and learn from the experience, then surely a private exchange would have been best. But this wasn't the case, so, I couldn't help but wonder:
Was Lady Gaga's actions -- posting a caustic open letter
to Kelly Osbourne -- a form of bullying? Weigh in with your thoughts.
