I'm thrilled at this songs quick success. Hopefully this is another sign of a changing tide in popular music. "Adorn" and "Love and War" cracked the door, maybe this song will push it open.
In the meantime, if Missy were smart she'd quickly resume promotion of 9th Inning/Triple Threat during this seeming JT and Timbaland revival.
OK I finally listened to the full song. What's with all of you gurls reaction? This song's amazing! I'm gonna keep the intro and the song as separate tracks and design a different cover using Duca's icon, but the song itself ***** on all of the generic songs released lately. That's how you come back Justin
#3 on iTunes after less than 12 hours. Looks like the people who said that it had no commercial appeal and cockily predicted that it would flop have egg on their faces.
As far as as not expecting this, goes... I don't know why not. It was announced that JT was working with Timbaland again. Did you *really* expect him to come out with some silly ass Dr. Luke/Calvin Harris/Guetta sounding pop trash? Oh, and newsflash: JT reportedly worked with Tim for the entire album...so if you don't like this single, chances are you won't like any of them. I doubt that JT's got anything on his album that sounds like it was fished out of Kesha's or Katy's toilet.
I just have to wonder how much do some of you even know about JT? Aside from those very early Nsync records, he's never been especially a peppy pop guy. For as long as he's been solo, he's pretty much been R&B, or R&B-leaning (hell, even some of those later Nsync songs were more R&B than Pop.) You REALLY expected some erratic fist pump club song from him? Really?! Might as well go back to Bieber for that.
He could've released the worst song ever and it would most likely go to number 1 on itunes on hype alone. We'll see how it does in a few weeks.

I agree! I really hope that songs like this help being R&B back to mainstream top 40 radio.
The only people who don't like are the people who are here for generic trash with no meaning or vocals or instrumentals. If its not dr luke max Martin David guetta it's not hot.
