Ciara payed out of her own pocket to film videos for "Ride", "Gimme Dat" and "Speechless" and even to get the ALBUM SHIPPED. Most fans couldn't even buy the album because it wasn't shipped to their stores. She also had to pay the producers and to get urban adds for "Ride". They even told her to not release "Turn It Up" (w/Usher) on BI because the label wasn't going to promote it.
The label wasn't behind Basic Instinct from the beginning, they wanted to wait til 2011 to release another album but she didn't want to. She clearly regrets in now but she received most of the profit. They did nothing to promote it, not even on their own website when it was released
this is so saddening....
