I loved Argo, Lincoln was good but mainly because I was amused by the fact that I felt like I was actually watching Abraham Lincoln himself and not DDL playing him. SLP is my favorite Best Pic nominee this year though

Meh, I still put Lincoln ahead of Argo for BP. Only one picture has won BP without a BD nomination since 1933. Plus the HFPA and AMPAS are two entirely separate bodies, one which obviously had less love for Argo than the other.

Best Actor should be the first award given away at the SAGs and Academy Awards. Ain't nobody snatching Daniel Day's toupee. He is golden. I still haven't seen Lincoln, is it THAT good?

Waltz winning was a huge surprise.I predicted everything else right though except Best TV Comedy Actor, Best TV Comedy Actress and Best Original Score and Best Picture, though.

Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress are now very tight races.

Also to re-iterate this point, the "Best Picture - Drama" winner at the GG has only won Oscar BP once in the past 9 years (Slumdog Millionaire).

Not saying Argo can't win, I'd put it in 2nd now, but it's definitely no lock based on this.

Yes, I agree. Argo ain't winning at the Oscars. Plus, the GG have a horrible track record. Only 2 out of the last 10 movies that have won the GG BP have won the Academy Award. A MESS.

The frontrunners will be more clear as the BAFTA and the SAG's are announced. They both have Academy members. The Globes have NONE.

BA could go to either Lawrence or Chastain, but the Academy clearly loved Silver Linings Playbook and didn't really like Zero Dark Thirty.

I have no idea for BSA. I thought Tommy Lee Jones, but now i'm not sure.
