Can Nicki top Starships in the US with a hip-hop? Yes. But worldwide I'm going to say no.
ALL I need is a #1 Hip-Hop single.

Pound the alarm having a decent rap and would have even fared better with the urban crowd. Also, mixing the better rap with the dance pop sound and being hella catchy and not having twinkle twinkle little star lyrics to keep the haters salivating would have made a huge difference if she didn't want to release Va va voom for certain reasons...but I don't discredit Starships. I'm indifferent about the actual song. I just think she COULD have achieved the same thing and more with POund the alarm first. Defenitely with VVV but again, with her reasons to not want to release it Pound the alarm would have been the better option. IMO but I respect your point. I'm just glad starship WAS a success...imagine if it would have flopped. Oh, the seizures and meltdowns. Ch
+1.

I always seen VVV as Super Bass 2.0 and how it would smash so hard. But would it really been as big. It only peaked at #20 on the UK charts, and Top 40 in places like Australia, etc. Is it because it was released too late, or is it not what people thought it would be.
