Much anime is an awesome display of talent and creativity - the Japanese take pride in their work. American cartoonists believe more in delivering a story or laughs rather than the art.
What? American cartoons don't deliver a storyline at all. Animes do.
I don't watch anime, but I know that the current American cartoons are total trash. Cartoon Network is a bunch of filth. However, Family Guy, along with old cartoons (Courage the Cowardly Dog, Rugrats, Scooby Doo, Tom and Jerry) are/were really great. Pokemon was great too, but cartoons in the 90s were awesome.
Both have their pros and cons, there are really ****** American ones and ****** anime.
But right now I'm so into Disney, that I have to vote for that. When I used to stan for anime I did loathe american cartoons, though
And let's remember first anime were based on the style of Mickey Mouse

Pokemon is an anime
But not all current American cartoons are bad. Adventure Time is great!
