Britney Spears is in "serious talks" to move to Las Vegas and headline a "Celine" type show -- TMZ has learned.
Sources familiar with the situation tell us ... Britney and her people are talking about establishing residency for the singer in Sin City and are also in talks with one of the hotels to do a "big, nightly show."
We're told the negotiations are with one of the CAESARS group properties, and they have "been wooing her for awhile."
As we first reported ... Britney has cleared the decks by quitting "X Factor" and is in the studio recording her 8th album.
Our sources say there is "a lot of interest" in Britney's camp over a Vegas move, and -- obviously -- a lot of interest on the Vegas side of headlining a show.
Celine Dion scored nearly $100 mil a year for her gig. Our sources think Britney could do even better.

Femme Fatale still produced hits and sold decently, the tour still sold decently.
All she needs is to improve her performances and get a SMASH single (that Femme Fatale lacked) and she will be back to Circus levels of success, as "Scream & Shout" shows she is still absolutely a global force.
If this is true I don't think it necessarily has to be her teams decision too. Maybe Britney still wanted to perform but didn't want to drag her children around the globe for over an half year by doing a tour every 2 years.

As much as I don't want this, I'm not surprised that she's interested. She probably wants a solid concrete location for several years to raise her kids and do this, plus it would be more of a hasbeen move to start doing Vegas residency after she gets older and starts flopping. She's riding off a high of FF singles.
I would be up for it if that gives Britney a time for her kids to go to school and still give out shows. I just don't know how to feel in a macro-scale about this considering Britney is a worldwide act and Legend B in Las Vegas means one thing. She can't go on a world tour for a whole damn year.

I know TMZ is reliable, especially when it comes to Britney news, so it probably will happen. Not to mention It's a dumbass decision so that makes it even more likely of happening.

Maybe when she turns 35, this would be a good idea, of course depending on how this era goes. If she really brings it, she would be better off waiting until later to do vegas. However, if she is just going to serve more FF teas then this would be the best chair for her to take a seat on as it'd be obvious shes no longer interested.
It's way too early in her career for something like this. As much as I love her it's clearly a move by her money-hungry team. It's a bit sickening.
