MM > LWT. Yeah I guess in a perfect world LWT would have been a little longer, but regardless it's still the lesser half.
but I don't hate MM it just seems a bit dragged out to me.
omg, The Lucky One finally someone who knows to appreciate that song! one of the best songs on Red, I love how her voice sounds on it and it does tell a great story. much too underrated.

Fair enough, I'll give you that. The song gets very repetitive.
Another song that goes against the norms of standom. I'm sorry but I just cannot stan for My Blood when it's as popular and overrated as it is.
Regardless I much prefer JOY and while it's not the best song on Halcyon, it's definitely one of the best and yet another ridiculously underrated masterpiece.
This track is simply too beautiful to not love. The lyrics are beautiful; a story telling of Ellie's realisation that true happiness is not found in the arms of her lover and the tracks simplicity is a contribution to the overall power of the song.
This instantly became my favourite song from Halcyon when I heard the album, and while I've never excessively played it, it remains my second all time favourite from Ellie (behind Wish I Stayed). A huge bloody well done Miss Goulding.
1.
Adele Skyfall
**** Adele. I simply wasn't ready for this.
Well here we are at my favourite song of the year! And a very worthy contender if I might say so myself!
Where do I begin... Okay so I've never been a huge fan of Bond which makes this so much more surprising, but contrarily I stan for Adele so I guess that balances it out.
Everything about this song is perfect. The only thing I disliked at first was the chorus addition by her multiplied voice; but even now I wouldn't have it removed from the song - it adds such a substance.
And when this song played during the opening credits scene in the movie Skyfall I actually teared up.
I haven't logged hundreds of plays of this for two reasons: the first being it was played a hell of a lot on the radio as it is, and the second being that I tend to not overplay my favourite tracks (seen with 90% of the Top 10).
Enough of this messy ass comment though. Kudos a million times over, Adele, no song has ever managed to still give me shivers after 3 months and countless listens.
Favourite Songs: 1st - Viking Death March 2nd - Love Was Still Around 3rd - Runnin' Across the Tracks
In all honesty, I've yet to get past the halfway mark for this album yet, but Billy Talent remain my favourite band so they deserve to be in here somewhere (plus the majority of material released this year is ****).
The main reason I don't really have anything to say about this album is because I haven't been into anything but Pop this year, so I couldn't even get into my favourite band.
Nevertheless it's a very solid effort, and although far from their best (their flawless second and third albums) I enjoy what I've heard and I'm looking forward to being into rock again so I can take this in fully.
Favourite Songs: 1st - Some Nights 2nd - Why Am I the One 3rd - One Foot
We Are Young addiction, Some Nights song download, Some Nights song addiction etc. It's a typical fairytale.
I bought the album based on WAY and SN, so it was pretty impulsive and I don't regret it. The album is nothing spectacular or innovative but it's a really nice album to listen to and can be fun () to bop to once in a while.
A good work by fun. but admittedly not that amazing when put into the context of music this year.
Favourite Songs: 1st - Warrior 2nd - Thinking of You 3rd - Wherever You Are
Okay so this is the second (out of 3) album from my list that I haven't fully heard/gotten into yet.
I've heard the majority of the album, but admittedly I don't like Ke$ha when she's not doing Pop. She has a lot of rocky elements and influences in this album, as did Animal + Cannibal, but here they're a lot more prevalent and abundant in Warrior. It's a little too much for me at this time (but I'm sure I'll love them in the future).
It sucks because the rest is pure Popfection, with a couple of the songs being her best to date. I won't go as far as saying this is on or above Animal's or Cannibal's level(s) because it's not, but it's still a great album as a whole and didn't deserve to flop in the slightest (sans the **** lead single choice).
Admittedly I didn't use until a week or so ago, and the chorus alone would make it the best song on Warrior. Then she had to go have that pathetic Sleazy 0.5 verse.
