I'm interested to know what are the languages that you guys can actually speak fluently. How did you learn them? Discuss.
I only know two. One's my native tongue which is Filipino and English, our country's second language. English is the primary medium of education instruction here alongside with our mother tongue, plus we are exposed to American shows, books, films, etc. so I guess I learned it from there. I know a few words in French and a few phrases in Spanish (a lot of Filipino words are Spanish in origin so it's kind Spanish is kind of easy) but I don't speak them tho. After college I plan to teach myself those languages, probably including Italian. I guess I just have a natural affinity to languages. You? Share stories of your linguistic skills sistrens
I speak German, my mother tongue, and fluently english. I sincerly think I was born with a talent of that language and it just was easy to learn for me. Like, I grew up with english very early on in my life and I just trained it alot through school and media.
I can speak German and English fluently. German is my native language and I can speak English fluently because I've lived in the U.S. as an exchange student and I've learned it in school. I can also speak French pretty well, but not fluently.
I can speak Spanish (my mother tongue), English, and German, but I can carry a conversation in Italian and Portuguese, and I'm currently working on my French.
My native is Serbian. I've learned English through television. Cartoon Network had major influence when I was a kid, but Friends is probably the main reason of my English knowledge. Being a movie fanatic also helped a lot, as well as school studies. I can speak those 2 fluently.
Native speaker of both English and Spanish, I honestly don't know anyone else who can speak with a perfect UK accent and also a perfect Spanish (Peruvian) accent
Fluent in Dutch (mother tongue & main language here), English (mostly TV/internet & school)
Semi-fluent in Moroccan Arabic (father tongue), French & German. (school)

I speak German, Dari, Pashto and English daily and fluently. German because I life in Germany. Dari and Pashto because of my family, I ended up speaking a mix of german, dari and pashto with my parents and brothers. But I can speak them all correctly if I wanted to. English because I learned that in school, TV shows, forums, books etc. and it's pretty easy. My school French is understandable I guess but no where fluently.

I'm also fluent in English, which I've learned for about 10 years in school and also acquired and still improve it through listening to English music, watching English movies/shows, reading English books, websites in English etc.
Mother tounge: Norwegian Learned at school since 3rd grade: English (I now have English most others my age would have next year cause my teacher thought I was good enough)
