Please. I'm a member of bodybuilding.com since 2009, you can fly out of here with that mess. The one trillion ECA/YCA and other stack threads for people crazy to burn fat on there are a trillion times worse than promoting deliciously luxurious and refreshing Pepsi.
All of the other b.s. chemicals they sell are generally unnatural and the same. They are just a business like Pepsi, and this article was another ploy to generate traffic and buzz for their website.

1. If celebrity endorsements (and ads and promotions in general) don't work and influence people to do / buy / eat / drink things, why would companies spend a **** load of money on them? It obviously works. So the argument that people won't buy soda just b/c Beyonce is endorsing it is not completely true. The thought process isn't necessarily "Oh, Beyonce is drinking Pepsi. OMG, I should drink it too!!!!!". It's more like Beyonce's (or any other celebrity's) noticeable face catches your attention, and therefore Pepsi catches your attention. So you may crave a soda or stop and think twice when you see Pepsi at a store. That's how advertisements and celebrity endorsements work. And they DO work.
2. I would think Beyonce should know or at least think of the impact of the ad. Not that it's her responsibility to look out for everyone's weight in the country typically, BUT, she is doing the campaign with Michelle Obama so she obviously does care about the issue. So the fact that she's now supporting one of the biggest things that is making children fat in this country is just contradictory on her part. I wouldn't think this was such a big issue if she wasn't also trying to fight obesity, supposedly. Yes, people will drink soda if they want to drink soda, but if she REALLY cared about the issue, why do ANYTHING to add to the problem? Answer: $$$$$
People gon drink pepsi and eat big macs until they pass out. That has nothing to do with beyonce. Tell people to get off their fat asses and push away from the buffet.
