Why does it have to ALWAYS be Nicki vs. Mariah? Good for Nicki, she has a very entertaining personality and is fun to watch, I am excited to see her and Mariah, I don't care about the others.

Nobody cares about anyone else on the panel except Nicki and Mariah, so naturally they'd be pitted up. Hell, they were pitted against each other the moment we got photos at the Idol dinner when the panel was confirmed.

The media at the conference even did it, called Nicki a surprisingly great judge while insulting Mariah for being boring.

It'll happen, although I agree it was blown up.

I had thought doing this show at this point in her career was a bad move BUT it might just work out for the best. Good judging, good performer, good rapper/singer, huge platform for exposure - a year or two of this just might make her blow up even more on the scene.

I think Mariah is going to try hard to come off as a diva to the media because that image of her has been out there for so long now, some may see that is boring but I think when the live shows start she will be herself: shady and very funny. Nicki also really needs this for her career to win back some of the support she may have lost over the past year, this will be good for the both of them.
