According to Seatwave, the online ticket marketplace, ticket sales and exchanges for the band's upcoming tour have experienced a huge surge in popularity over the past 24 hours as news of the Haylor split spread.

It seems the news that Harry is free and single again is attracting the fans. Meanwhile, interestingly Taylor's own ticket sales have halved according to the site.

“1D and Taylor Swift are two of the most popular acts in the world and they’re consistently among our best-sellers,” says Louise Mullock, spokesperson for Seatwave.

“However, the adulation received by 1D is one of a kind, and the boys’ fans are famously protective. Since many of Taylor’s fans are also 1D fans, she may have bitten off more than she can chew by dividing their loyalties.”

Harry was spotted returning to work today, arriving at a North London rehearsal space to start work on the band's mammoth sell out world tour.

The star is back to the day job, days after a reported bust up between him and Taylor whilst they were holidaying in the British Virgin Islands.

I wouldn't get too cocky yet. Taylor will pull the sympathy act (like she always does) on her next album, and we all know how she destroyed the Jonas brothers when she did.

I don't believe Taylor's sales have halved. The break up has helped her in the UK if anything. Any publicity is good publicity, right?

It helped IKYWT and Red is #13 on iTunes UK and it was out of the top 40 before the split. Unless something else happened

I have a feeling they never broke up. They staged that ****. Both are looking so suspiciously joyful in their latest pics. And when Harry was asked what happened between them he said nothing happened. Unless they are happy that the charade is over.

But if its true then 1D surely got the better end of the deal.
