yes, but you guys don't understand the changes. people will still shoot up the hot 100 but not that big of jumps a 9-33 jump might be able to happen not a 1-88 jump.

and Britney and christina got to number one with thier first albums so why not now. Airplay is not the whole thing there's still sales. Gosh, everytime someone tells something you people get all hyped up and don't even know what the hell your talking about

the formula:
Airplay: 60%
Sales: 35%

it's not like sales doesn't matter @ all. Sean Kingston got all the way up to #17 with just airplay. And it's not like there's gonna be hardly any sales-only tracks like there were airplay-only tracks.

We'll the Hot 100's concept is about the Hottest 100 songs in the US, and airplay is and should've always been the biggest piece on the percentage cake. So this isn't about hip hop or Rap, it's about showing real hits on the list and not very downloaded songs.

So stop complaining about Rock or Pop not getting the 1st position because if it was meant to be a hit nothing will stop it.

And i don't know if you remember but a long time ago Natalie imbruglia had a #1 song when it comes to airplay, the beautiful song "Torn", however it wasn't officialy released so that you could buy it so it peaked at 49 or something like that, with this change things like that will never happen again and for those who don't know "Torn" is a classic pop song.

air play should not be the biggest piece on the percentage cake. I mean there are way more hip hop/rap/r&b radio stations then pop/rock. it just isnt fair to artist like maroon 5 and avril lavigne..i doubt theyll ever see number one on hot 100 chart again. they will definelt see number one on digital downloads tho. if your gana base it on radio u should base it on number of listeners, not numbers of plays. i think even that would be a little more fair to pop/rock artist. You mide as well chnage the name to Hip Hop 100 chart. Avril Lavignes girlfriend only made it to number 10 on Hot 100 Air Play...and it was definelt the biggest song in the counrty. Less and Less people listen to the radio and putting radio up there like that is not rite. i pods mp3 players is what todays music business is about therefore downloads should be the biggest peace of the percentage cake. alot of people are not going to take the HOT 100 serious any more...its gana be a pathetic chart

Chart sucks the way it is now, and it will suck the same when it changes. Even if it was all sales, Buy U A Drank, Party Like A Rockstar, etc. have high sales anyway. Reality is people just like **** music in this country, what can you do. I do think airplay should be thown out, this is the ipod/digital era, should be all sales even though that chart sucks just about as much as the airplay.
