DESTINY'S CHILD singer KELLY ROWLAND dreamed of being white as a child - because she thought it would give her a better chance of success. The 26-year-old still feels black performers have an unfair disadvantage in the entertainment industry, but has learned to appreciate her own beauty with the help of former bandmate Beyonce Knowles' mum. Rowland says, "It's said that brown-skinned girls don't sell magazines, that's sad. I wished I was fair-skinned, but Tina Knowles, Beyonce's mom, said, 'Don't you know how beautiful you are?' "She made me come into my brown beauty. I didn't get it, now I do. "I am chocolate and beautiful and loving it."
I don't think she has any disadvantage, or any black girl. At least not in the US. The music industry doesn't care about the skin color anymore which is great.
This is taken out of context. When she was a TEEN she felt that way. No she doesn't want to be white now she never did, she said that she wanted to have lighter skin never did she say I want to be white. And she some what has a point on the magazine thing. But now she now who she is! Fall back haters!

That's some strong words from Kelly. There is no disadvantage at all. You just have to accept for who you are in this world whether you're black or white.
If she does what? You can't change your skin color...
Remember an artist called Michael Jackson? Don't get me wrong, love him to death, but he has successfully went from a young black boy to an old white woman.

LOL! Whitening pills? Why would they do that. People need to be confortable in there own skin. These days you can become successful in any skin color. So i don't know what Kelly Rowland is talking about but i doubt that she even said that
