I know you are a Mariah fan so you are trying to be like her but lyrics and saying people are going to be forgotten is wishful thinking.
I mean, I've already experienced this with britney, Rihanna and Nicki is catching similar shade...she'll take it and keep on moving.
Basically, no one is truly phased by Mariah's fan shade about fading when Nicki is going to be a constant mainstay. People thought I was crazy when I said Britney would outlast the other blonde pop stars...they also thought I was crazy when I said Rihanna would eventually outsell and become a bigger ww figure.
Heard it all before...but your lies aint working now...look who's hurtin' see I had to shut [them] down. Had to shut [them] down....

Wait, so because I'm a Mariah fan I want to be like her? I'm also a Whitney stan, do I qualify as wanting to smoke crack to be like her?

I mean what type of weak logic? Like, should I assume you want to follow Britney's footsteps because she's in your avi?

Wishful thinking in that one barely managed to sell 800k with their second album? Its not wishful thinking at all, all the facts suggest the other way. Her total album sales have declined as did her hype and lets not talk about the performance of "The Re-Up". By the way, you quoted some lyrics and I returned the favor for you so don't piss in your pants.
Right, one is a pop star that is heavily endorsed by the media (see Circus after the breakdown and before the breakdown) while the other is a 30 years old rapper who is declining commercially. The difference between those three is that Rihanna and Britney got bigger after their debut, not smaller while the other one is. Its typical of female rappers to fade as the sound transitions. Are you trying to tell me that Nicki will be rapping about "Superbass", "Starships", etc 5-10 years from now? You think people will be here for that? Time to take off those rose colored glasses and return to planet Earth.
"Basically, no one is truly phased by Mariah's fan shade about fading when Nicki is going to be a constant mainstay. "
I'll bookmark this, about how Nicki will be a "constant mainstay" when PF:RR, The Re-Up, The Pink Print, etc sales come in. There was no shade, I told you the truth and you cared enough to take the time out of your life to respond.
Fortune teller!!

You are nothing more than a mere human who put 2 and 2 and Nicki will fade like the rest of the other rappers, and you will see in time. I mean one is a pop star that is reliant on her "thug life" persona and puts out album from hit producers every year for the past 7 years while the other is a heavily promoted and media covered pop star that has hit-producers making albums for her so of course the media will still buy it. The remaining pop girl is a black, 30 years old, rapper who is doing fine because the climate for Rap, country, pop, and rock is high. Nicki found success because of the musical climate (much like the late 90s and early 00s rap scene). You give yourself way too much credit. Quoting lyrics while chastising me, huh?
Don't underestimate ones will and power, in turn don't overestimate ones powers. I look forward to continuing this saga about many 4-5 years from now if the opportunity presents itself.
