I love her. Been here since NME Cool List and I will continue to support her and her music until she stops. But I've noticed recently, ever since 212, her diction in songs has just gotten worse and worse. Something about her voice has changed, it's got deeper and the way she now raps makes it harder to understand. The EP didn't show this much; 1991 and Van Vogue were still pretty clear, but then again the whole EP had really polished songs so the quality was good.
Fantasea dipped in this aspect. I know it was only a mixtape, but I just felt like it lacked the clarity. BBD sounds like it came from a mixtape, and that ain't good. She needs to be aiming for EP quality tracks - I just hope Miss Amor isn't like her recent flows because they will get tiring real quick.

I know she just made this within like 12 hours after Angel dropped her months old diss', locked away with cobweb just waiting to release
but here's my thing...
Do you remember or know Lloyd Banks? That's the monotone stuff she's been doing in these last two tracks (and even on the mixtape like 'Chips' for ex.) and hopefully that stops here. If you're gonna go that route you have to find a way to make it sound appealing if she's going the commercial route like let's say, Fabolous for example who's also monotone but ill. And we know at times her flow can be super fast, so that tone really needs to stop. Fans will get it, others won't.
Hopefully everything on the album is polished and clean like 1991 and diverse like Fantasea - I'm sure it would though.
But I don't want to get carried away and make it a big deal when we haven't heard anything yet.
