Discussion: How did P!nk outlast her contemporaries?

Because of her image & attitude. She makes good, catchy songs, she is an outstanding performer, has a good attitude, funny, smart. Her career has been a consistent, and she has never been monstrously huge a la Christina, Britney, Gaga, so she has evaded 'fad' territory, and people haven't got sick of her.
Also, Britney & Xtina are jokes now

She constantly delivers and ups her game: an example would be her live performances. She never gets complacent and always strives to find new ways to create a spectacle. There's a reason Glitter In The Air and Try performances received unanimous acclaim! She is consistently at the top of her game and it shows with the amount of respect she has amassed over the years; she only gains fans.

First of all, Pink was never on the same level with Britney & Xtina in their primes.
Second of all, just because Britney's latest album didn't pass 1m mark in the US, doesn't she can't do any longer.
Pink's Try This sold under 1m in US. Was she done? No.
TTAL was simply released during a better time of the year. Q4>Q1.

Well duh but that's the point, she DOESN'T get that radio support because radio is just not here for her like they are Britney and P!nk and it shows. She got a radio deal for an extremely generic song and still noone used.

I didn't say anything about quality. It's just that Your Body was radio candy. A simple Max Martin production about sex/party. No swear words.

She's a smart pop star and has her own image, plus she's respected in the eyes of the general public and she was never in the news for the wrong reasons, she's not over-hyped like other pop girls and yet she's talented and deserves all the praise she can get, I'll never forget the first time I heard Family portrait.

But it doesn't mean that a song is "bad" because radio isn't supporting it. Britney and P!nk are just lucky enough to be in most radio programmers good graces.

In fact, no one was here for P!nk until Mizunderstood, no shade. Before that, people said she was another white girl trying to make "black" music; that's what they use to say about her. Never did the words Christina and Britney come into those sentences.
I always sensed bitterness, anger, and hypocrisy from P!nk. She's an honorary PETA member, yet she's Loreal spokesperson. She would never work with Max Martin, yet she did. She wanted to go on the road and write music like they did back in the day, yet, blow me last kiss is what we get. I'm sorry, she's just never been as real and authentic as she would like everyone to think. She always tried too hard to prove herself.
And, what race girral? It's only a race when others are competing against you, and I don't really think anyone cares to.

|
P!nk and her stans never wanted her to compete with anyone but herself. And i guess that worked out well

Sis, you must not understand, on ATRL when a song is successful, it's consistently great music. When it flops, the music is formulaic, and bad.

Oh but y'all do. Because, you all and her are the only people, on and off site, that I know that ever compared her to Xtina and Britney. Even when she released "Don't let me get me," I was like, "WTF is she talking about, no one ever compared her to Britney." Until this day, I have the slightest idea to why she wrote that.

How old are you sis? Britney used to be the standard. Every new female was compared to her and so was P!nk.
As far as Xtina is concerned they comparisons were inevitable after M!ssundastr!pped came out. Also they had that petty 'rivalry' if you will. And don't act like we take pleasure in comparing Pink to Xtina cuz...

Uh... I have heard it though.. Not so much comparing her as a "bubblegum pop icon", but more like "a female pop star who came in the same wave" type statements. I've even seen it in articles tbh. I never understood either, because I don't think Pink is anything like Britney or Christina. I actually think all 3 are very different, tbh. But people will compare what they wanna compare. So, whatever...

Yeah, that never happened. It was just a means of getting attention. She was pandering to the audience who don't feel pretty enough, popular enough...blah blah blah.

P!nk has never been as huge as Christina or Britney, so people hasn't get tired of her. Another thing is that seems like P!nk has no haters. To be honest it feels like P!nk is going to stand while Rihanna, Gaga and the other smashing pop girls will be disappearing one by one.

Honey, I'm sure I am far older than you, and that's a motherf.... lie, the only bitches compared to Britney were Mandy, Jessica Simpson, Avril was considered the "anti-Britney" for a short while and of course, Britney needed a rival, Xtina.
Let's not give Britney too much, okay?! She was huge, but wasn't that huge to where she was a poster child for all upcoming female artist. If you were blonde, white female, and doing pop music, yes, you were compared to her at the time. Since P!nk was none of those things, where did you and her get those comparison?
And the Xtina shade, cute. But just like Xtina, we continue to pay P!nk and her petty, bitter shade because we frankly never seen, or used her.

Because she's insanely talented, cares about her career and her sound is consistent. There's others factors as well.
