What was your reaction when you discovered you were attracted to people of the same gender?
What did you do? How old were you?

I was 12. I was crying in my bed. I thought God would kill me for my sins.
I told myself nobody will ever know about this sin.

I didn't have a meltdown because I was still "half okay" because I'm bi. Now I know I'm more into men but back then it was no big deal.

Well I always knew I liked boys, even in the second grade I would get crushes on boys lol. Then one night when I was like 11 it struck me that my attraction to boys wasn't normal, at first I freaked out and told myself i would just be "bi" but I quickly threw that out the window. But I was able to fully accept myself by the age of like..14 or 15.

I've always known I was gay, but when I was younger, I didn't know how to call it or if it was bad.
But then, I realized I was gay.

I didn't suddenly just come to this massive realization that I was gay. I knew I had this attraction for guys and it just grew stronger. I didn't go through life not being attracted to anything and then suddenly becoming gay which is what I get from you

exactly, i didn't realize i was different until i noticed there was no real presence of gays in the media, church calling it a sin, and people using the word as an insult

I find that so interesting that I never went through a sort of "denial/doubt" stage when so many other LGBT people did.

Like, I always knew I was gay and different from the other boys. And I'm from Tennessee, so of course I learned that it "wasn't right" for me to like boys, but I never believed in that. From a young age I knew I liked boys, accepted it, and never tried to change it.

I had a little problem being worried about not caring about women sometime in the futre, but then got over it and now I accept I'm bi but more into men.

I realized I had an attraction to girls when I was 12-13 and I was so naive and innocent that I didn't know about bisexuality, I literally just thought there was straight and gay and that was it, so I thought that I had to be a lesbian, even though I also liked boys

I was so confused and conflicted for a while there because I thought I could only choose one gender but I liked both. Then I found out about bisexuality and it was such a weight off my shoulders that it was okay to like more then one.
