^ Yes I agree with red/hunger. Companies use blue the same way to get users. (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)

Now that I think about it I've been using the blue layout for ATRL for years! It just works for social media and networking.
Cheerful sunny yellow is an attention getter. While it is considered an optimistic color, people lose their tempers more often in yellow rooms, and babies will cry more. It is the most difficult color for the eye to take in, so it can be overpowering if overused. Yellow enhances concentration, hence its use for legal pads. It also speeds metabolism.
This is the reason why I hate yellow. I mean, it's enough that my workplace building is yellow but to paint the walls INSIDE yellow as well.
It just works for social media and networking.
