I don't want to start any sort of stan war, but Beyoncé has outsold Britney with every single album since her solo debut. Britney's peak album sales and similarly her influence ended with the millenium.
There is a world outside the US, you know, and she wasn't the top selling female in the US anyway.
Yes, and in that big ol' world outside America, Beyoncé's albums sold more in that decade than Britney's.
Beyoncé is also acclaimed, respected and influential. Britney isn't.
