Well I only shave when I take a shower and I don't use any gel or cream, just the razor and water and I never get bumps. I wash my face after I'm done though to wash out my pores.
Shave in the shower, wait till the water is nice and warm and shave LAST. Put the razor in the water for a bit before you shave, too. The warm water softens the hair

Most people don't have a mirror in the shower. You shave without one? Even if I don't use a razor, I usually like to watch myself shave to make sure I cover every nook and cranny. Maybe it's just me!
I usually do shave in the shower, but my hair is especially curly (down there lol) so it makes it harder to avoid these types of bumps. When the hair grows back in is when I run into the bump problems.

I just hop out of the shower to check quickly to see if I missed anything, then hop right back in

I guess I'll try that tonight. I wish I had some type of mirror though.
If you use Nair or Veet, make sure you buy the proper one. There's a certain one for "sensitive areas" and "bikini lines". I bought the wrong one once (the normal one), and used it somewhere I shouldn't have. It was so ****ing painful.
