Was Ciara a main pop girl in her prime, or was she a tier 2 it girl like Ke$ha and Nicki? Or was she a tier 3 it girl like Kerwi Hilson and Demi levato? Its hard to place her because her peak was so long ago and so short. She was like a mini ashanti, and ashanti gets no respect at all tbh.
It was so crowded. Beyonce, Alicia, Mariah, etc. She might've been for a year. But when Bey put out Deja Vu/Irreplaceable, it pretty much ended it for her. However, I will say that 1,2 Step will remain iconic and everyone + they mama knows the words + Missy's verse.

I agree, she fits in-between tier 3 and tier 2. She had more presence than tier 3,
but never had impact like tier 2. She never had her own stanbase like the barbz
and the warriors and her endorsements were extra cheap.

lol Well at the time I was a fan (not stan) of Ciara back in 04-06! mmm maybe 07! Simply because she kinda reminded me of Aaliyah and Janet Jackson. But after her 2nd album there was no growth! It's like she took 5 steps back!
She never really had impact like that to me. She had goodies, Oh, promise, 1 2 step... That's really it. and those songs weren't iconic or classic or anything timeless! She just boring to me and that's why she will never have the impact she and her stans want!
