Not everyone can be a trendsetter forever, Madonna already did enough about it. But yeah the song is NOT good in any way

To be honest I get why it isn't universally liked by the public...not very memorable compared to her HUGE outstanding first singles. And it can probably get annoying after a while.

BUT I still use this song especially the Demolition Crew Remix

That 60's surf beat was amazing and she hasn't had anything like that except for Beautiful Stranger (also one of my favourites that seems forgotten).

And that music video was her best in yeeeears, let's say since What It Feels Like For A Girl in 2001.
So glad that she improved on the visial aspect during MDNA compared to Hard Candy.

And by the way, what exactly do people hate about Turn Up The Radio?
That's what I wonder even more...

It sounds boring to me. The only great part of it is Nicki's part which is hilarious.

But I woundn't call this song one of the worst songs of 2012. It's forgettable and mediocre.

Honestly, I find everything about GMAYL (melody, lyrics, arrangement and video) terrible, because its so awfully mediocre. Easily one of the worst songs she ever released. I dont know what she was thinking... I was expecting much, much more and she served us this generic trash. Disappointing, because I know that she is able to make masterpieces.

But the hatred people give her for GMAYL is undeserved, especially when it comes from those who listen to mainstream teen pop- all pop girls in the industry have released much worse songs and were not bashed as hard as Madonna is.

It's just boring. So uninspired. Mediocrity at its best, like a non-event even from Madonna.

Catchy is a stretch. It's not really that catchy.
Most people like songs as a guilty pleasure if that's the case. It would've been a hit.

It was perfect for the Superbowl performance since it had the cheerleader chants in it so people bitching about that can go. My only real complaint with the song is that the verses are better than the chorus but that still doesn't stop me from enjoying the chorus. I also kind of wish M.I.A. had a longer verse.

Madonna has amazing songs, can't click with this particular single, and tbh for Madonna's standard this is extremely boring and safe, plus the cheerleading part

it is a laughable attempted return to relevancy that appropriately blew up in her face and the video only made me hate the song more.

even without the features the song is frivolous generic garbage with no replay life.

I like it a lot but it was mispromoted a little.
The Super Bowl performance was the only good thing for it.

actually i feel like the song is anything BUT generic (generic being as:what we hear on the radio today) it's all the same dance style/genre, but GMAYL has something funky, something different. it's mostly the chorus that's a letdown..

i mean, turn up the radio and girl gone wild are way more generic than GMAYL

i don't like it either but the live MDNA tour version/mix is so dope and 19088080x better than the actual song. everyone should listen to it tbh

also i can see lots of popstars using that funky 60s beat & cheerleading outfit in a few years, just like they first hated on her leotard & all of a sudden every popstar starts wearing it a few yrs later
